Background Selam Deaf Charity Association (SDCA) is a community-based organization in Hawassa, Ethiopia, working to empower deaf and vulnerable citizens through skills development, employment creation, and sustainable livelihoods. Poultry farming has been identified as one of the most practical and impactful projects to improve food security, generate income, and create job opportunities for deaf and marginalized community members. 2. Problem Statement Many deaf and vulnerable individuals in Hawassa lack access to sustainable employment and income opportunities. Limited job access results in poverty, social isolation, and dependency. Poultry farming presents an opportunity to create inclusive jobs, provide affordable food (eggs and chicken meat), and strengthen local economic development. 3.
